Guess its more of a journey of the human (possible only when considered at an individual level, not as a group i.e. perfection in the corporate or societal way is only a myth) towards his God. The lines perhaps more 'precisely' (as your blog would call it) distill all of the sacred books' teachings. Just another way of becoming closer to God. Perfection and precision in the practical world are impractical. Achieving it in character is more important.
